SSC CHSL (10+2) Examination Selection Process Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2022: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a notification to conduct CHSL (10+2) Exam 2021 for the recruitment of Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant, Data Entry Operator (DEO) vacancies. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) CHSL (10+2) Examination 2021 Exam Pattern, Selection Process:
Scheme of Examination –
1. The examination will consist of Computer Based Examination (Tier-I), Descriptive
Paper (Tier-II) and Skill Test/ Typing Test (Tier-III).
2. In the question papers, wherever necessary, the Metric systems of weights and
measures will be used.
3. The dates of examinations indicated in the Notice are tentative. Any change in the
schedule of examinations will be informed to candidates only through the website of
the Commission.
4. There shall be no provision for re-evaluation/ re-checking in the examination. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
Tier-I (Computer Based Examination) –
Part I – English Language (Basic Knowledge) – Number of Questions/ Maximum Marks 25/ 50
Part II – General Intelligence – Number of Questions/ Maximum Marks 25/ 50
Part III – Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill)
– Number of Questions/ Maximum Marks 25/ 50
Part IV – General Awareness – Number of Questions/ Maximum Marks 25/ 50
Time Duration: 60 Minutes (80 Minutes for candidates eligible
for a scribe as per Para 8.1 and 8.2)
Tier-II (Descriptive Paper) –
1. Tier-II Paper will be a descriptive Paper of 100 Marks in ‘Pen and Paper Mode.
The duration of the Descriptive Paper will be for one hour (20 minutes compensatory time will also be provided to the candidates eligible for a scribe as per Para 8.1 and 8.2 above). The Paper will comprise of writing Essay/ Letter/ Application/ Precis etc.
2. The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 percent. (more details follow the notification pdf)
Tier-III (Skill Test/ Typing Test) –
1. Skill Test/ Typing Test for the shortlisted candidates will be conducted on the computers provided by the Commission or its authorized agency.
2. Skill Test/ Typing Test will be conducted in the cities where Regional Offices of the Commission are located or as decided by the Commission.
3. Skill Test/ Typing Test will be of qualifying nature.
4. Errors in the Skill Test will be calculated up to 2 decimal places
