Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) Civil Services Exam 2021 Selection Process, Exam Pattern & Syllabus:
The Civil Services Examination Will Consist of the following successive stages –
1. Preliminary Examination
2. Main Examination
3. Personality Test or Interview.
A. Preliminary Exam Consists of two papers of Objective types (MCQ) questions and each paper shalll be of two hours duration carrying 200marks each.
a) General Studies- Paper-I – 200 Marks.
b) General Studies- Paper-II – 200 Marks.
B. Main Examination:
the Main Examination shall of consist of the following papers and each paper be of three hours duration –
Compulsory papers – 1400 marks
Paper-I – Odia language – 300 Marks
Paper-II – English – 300 Marks.
Paper-III – English Essay – 200 Marks.
Paper-IV – General Studies-I – 300 Marks.
Paper-V – – General Studies-II – 300 Marks. Optional Paper – (Paper VI, VII, VIII & IX) – 1200 Marks.
Two Subjects are to be selected from the list of Optional subjects are set out below. Each subject will have two papers and each paper carrying 300 marks. C. Personality Test or Interview shall carry – 250 Marks
