Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) Geologist Posts Selection Process:

Selection will be based on –
> Written Exam.
> Viva Voce Test.

Paper – I – General Studies & Awareness Test.
Questions will be in the form of MCQs.
The exam will be of Objective Type.
The total number of this questions in this exam was 75 questions.
The maximum marks for this exam were 150 marks.
Every question will be of 02 marks each.
The time allocated for this exam will be 90 minutes.
There will be Each incorrect answer 0.5 mark will be deducted.
Syllabus – The paper in General Studies & Awareness will inclu de Knowledge of Current Affairs, Sports, History, Geography, General Science, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Astrophysics, Space Science, etc. as may be expected of a Graduate person.

Paper-II – Specialization Paper – Subject – Geology
The exam will be of Objective Type.
Questions will be in the form of MCQs.
The total number of this questions in this exam was 150 questions.
The maximum marks for this exam were 300 marks.
Every question will be of 02 mark each.
The total Time allocated for this exam will be 180 minutes.
There will be an incorrect answer of 0.5 marks.
Syllabus – Geomorphology, Remote Sensing, Structural Geology, Geodynamics, Stratigraphy, Paleontology, Igneous Petrology, Sedimentology Metamorphic Petrology, Rock Mechanics GIS, Ground Water Hydrology.
