Selection Process: The procedure for selection of candidates for the post of Principal (Group-A) in the Department of Higher Education, Government of Punjab will consist of written examination and interview as per the following details: Subject Matter: Written Competitive Examination, No. of Questions: 120, Total Marks – 480
Interview – 60
Total Marks – 540.
The pattern for written competitive examination comprising of 120 questions (@ 4 marks for each question) is as follows: Topic:
1. Questions from the Subject, No. of Questions 100, Marks (Each Question carries 4 marks) 400 Type of Questions – MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions)
2. Questions from Logical Reasoning, Mental ability, and General Knowledge – No. of Questions 20, Marks (Each Question carries 4 marks) 80, Type of Questions – MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions)

Total No. of Questions 120, Marks (Each Question carries 4 marks) – 480
1. Each question carries 4 marks and, for each correct answer candidate will get 4 (four)
marks.
2. There will be Negative Marking (One Mark for each question) in the written examination for questions wrongly answered i.e. for each incorrect answer, 1 (One) mark will be deducted from the total score
