State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam Sub Inspectors (Armed Branch) Posts Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2021-22:

Selection Process & Exam Pattern –

Written Exam: The written test will be of 100 marks and will be completely OMR-based. There will be 100 questions and each question will be of 1 (one) mark. There will be a negative marking of ½ mark for each wrong answer. The questions will be set in three parts
(i) Logical reasoning, aptitude, comprehension (ii) Matters relating to the History and Culture of Assam and India, and (iii) General Knowledge. Candidates will use a black or dark blue ball pen to answer the OMR based answer sheet. The duration of the test will be of 3 (three) hours. The question paper for Written Exam will be in the following languages. Assamese/ Bodo/ Bengali/English
PST Test:
Height (Minimum) –
a) Gen – Male & Transgender 167 cm, Female: 162 cm
OBC/MOBC/SC – Male & Transgender 162 cm, Female: 157 cm
b) ST(H)/ ST(P)/Gorkha – Male & Transgender 160.02 cm, Female: 152.40 cm
ii. Chest (Only for Male & Transgender):
a) Gen/OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P) etc, 80Cm (Normal), Expanded – 90 Cm
b) ST(H) – 80 Cm (Normal), Expanded – 85 Cm.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
Physical Efficiency Test – 80 Marks for Male & Transgender and 60 marks for Female: Candidates who clear PST, will be required to undergo PET. The PET consists of the following:
The Physical Efficiency Test will carry 80 marks (male & transgender)/ 60 marks (female).It will have FOUR events for males & transgender and THREE events for females.
1) Male & Transgender Candidates:
a. 4.8 km Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 4.8 km race to be completed within 20 minutes.
b. Long Jump: Minimum 365 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks).
c. Chin Up:- 10 times is for qualifying.
d. 100 meter Race. To be completed within 15 seconds.
2) Female Candidates:
a) 2.8 km Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 2.8 km. race to be completed within19 minutes.
b) Long Jump: Minimum 265 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks).
c) 100 meter Race. The race is to be completed within 18 seconds.

PSYCHOMETRIC TEST:
All candidates who clear PST/PET will have to appear in a PSYCHOMETRIC TEST. An eminent panel of experts will be constituted preferably from CAPF, Army who have experience in raising special forces and draw up a methodology on the following:
1. Mental framework to carry out hard work.
2. Adaptability of jungle/ hilly terrain/ ecology.
3. Aptitude/ Attitude measurement.

Final Merit List:
Final results would be based on the marks obtained as follows:
A) For Male & Transgender Candidates
1. Written Test- Maximum marks 100
2. Marks for PET- Maximum marks 80
3. Psychometric Test: Maximum marks 20
Total- 200
B) For Female Candidtes:
i. Written Test- Maximum marks 100
ii. Marks for PET- Maximum marks 60
iii. Psychometric Test: Maximum marks 20
Total- 180
