Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) Scientific Officer Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2022:

Selection Process & Exam Pattern:
The Selection Process will be held in two steps –
1. Written Examination 180 marks (MCQ type OMR based)
There will be Negative marks for MCQ. For each question for which a wrong answer/multiple answers has been given by the candidates, a non-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
Items – English language, General knowledge – Marks allotted – 60,  Allotted Time- 1 hour.
Items – Subject Matter – Marks allotted – 120,  Allotted Time – 2 hours.
2. Interview 20 marks.
A limited of candidates maximum 5 (five) times of total posts (category wise) will be selected merit wise on the basis of the result of the Written Examination.
it is also mentioned here that candidates scoring marks equal to that of the last qualified candidate in the Written Examination shall also be called for an Interview.
The Candidates who will be found qualified in the written examination will be called to appear in the Interview.
In the list recommendation, the merit position of candidates securing equal marks will be finalized as per their seniority of age.
