WBMSC Food Safety Officer Posts Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2022:

The examination will be held in two suggestive stages viz. 1.Written Test (Objective type) & 2. Personality Test.
Written Test (300 marks) – The OMR-based Written Examination will consist of Only one paper containing MCQ Objective type 150 Questions carrying 2 marks each will be negative marking of 1(one) mark each for every incorrect/wrong answer. Questions will be set in English and the time allowed will be 2½ (two and a half) Hours.
Personality Test – 60 Marks.
Syllabus for the Written Test – 
The examination will consist of only one paper on –
1. General Studies – (General Knowledge, Current Events, General Science, Mathematics (Madhyamic Standard), elementary knowledge of Indian history and Indian geography, Indian Constitution and Polity, etc)
2. Main Subject – a) Food Chemistry, b) Chemical Constitutes of Foods, c) Food Microbiology d) Basal energy metabolism, e) Storage requirements & Storage structures for perishable and non-perishables f) Beverage, g) Fluid Milk, h) Food Processing Technology, i) Food laws & organizations j) Hygiene & Sanitation, k) Public & Occupational health and Nutrition, l) principle underlying spoilage and preservation of Foods, etc.
